Hi! My name is Jen.  I’m a 20-something gal helplessly stuck living in the middle-of-nowhere Iowa. I’m a full time wife, most-of-the-time cook, and if that weren’t enough, I have a full time job working as a college ministry staff worker.  I love cooking from scratch, making my own household cleaners, and attempting not to burn our house down in the process.  I may brag about my love of our CSA veggies, but my favorite candy for any road trip is sour patch kids.

What else is there to know?  My hobbies are completely schizophrenic.  For 14 years I took dance lessons, and then decided to take up rugby for a season.  Weird, I know.  I will never finish the scrapbook I started seven years ago, but I will drop everything in a heartbeat to go snowboarding.  I love the Red Sox, photography, and I’m addicted to Dancing with the Stars.  I attempt to knit one item per year, but I’m always reading at least 5 books at once.  I love pillows, purses, shoes, and coats.  I’m an accessories girl, what can I say?

I share a lovely new old 1902 Victorian four square house with my wonderful husband.  This is our “Jewel of the Prairie”   We love it!

This blog is the story of my simple dream – becoming a domestic diva in our lovely home.  I may fail at cooking or at all the DIY projects or at flossing every night, but at least I do it with grace!
